In honour of the various sacrifices and experiences of war and conflict, we are thinking about various war and conflict experiences, including those who fought, continue to fight, are forced to flee, and are left behind. During those times of conflict, a large number of Black, Indigenous, and racialized people represented Canada while often facing systemic discrimination from the very country for which they were sacrificing, fighting, and sometimes dying. Many of these battles are still going on today.
